The Connecticut Coalition Against Childhood Obesity includes a rapidly growing roster of organizations working together to respond to the epidemic of childhood obesity and the urgent need to address its connection to Connecticut’s educational achievement gap.

The Coalition members listed below recognize the connections between better health and better academic achievement that make action against childhood obesity an education as well as health imperative. In a recent public survey in Connecticut, 98% of respondents indicated believe that a student’s health has an impact on his or her performance at school, which underscores the Coalition’s support of Coordinated School Health programs in Connecticut schools.
